We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our growing engineering team. You will lead and inspire a team of talented engineers, ensuring they have the support and guidance needed to build and maintain Cadence's remote patient monitoring platform.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of both frontend and backend services for the Cadence platform.
Drive the improvement of engineering standards, tooling, and processes to enhance team productivity and product quality.
Collaborate with product owners, internal stakeholders, and customers to deliver solutions that meet user needs and business objectives.
Ensure projects are well-architected and deliver high-quality, maintainable, and scalable software.
Actively participate in strategic planning, helping to shape the technical direction and vision of the engineering team.
WHO YOU ARE:
10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
Proven ability to thrive in an environment founded on trust, autonomy, and direct communication & feedback.
Passion for owning and solving problems end-to-end, with a strong sense of accountability.
A proven track record of managing complex projects and experience interfacing directly with customers.
Experience in managing engineering teams in a fast-paced and iterative development environment.
Deep understanding of backend development (Go experience is a big plus).
Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS or Google Cloud, familiarity with relational databases like Postgres or MySQL, and services that use queuing technologies such as SQS and Kafka.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with team members, stakeholders, and customers.
